The South African International Film Academy – Movie Academy Awards was held in Johannesburg at the Gold Reef City Lyric theatre on 28 September 2019. Staged on Sandton City’s luxurious Diamond Walk, the awards celebrate and honour individuals across various industries who have not only made a mark in South Africa but have a significant influence on the international stage. The winners of the 15th annual Naledi Theatre Awards were announced on the Mandela Stage at the Joburg Theatre on 20 May 2019. Awards-winning musical artist and actress, Bianca Le Grange, was the presenter of the evening with co-host, Sne Dladla, award-winning performer, witty comedian and puppeteer. Bianca looked fabulous in a custom made Yihan Brönn Couture lasercut dress. The gold and silver dress was carefully crafted from silver metallic scuba and silver and gold textured brocade detail. Sne wowed the audience with three Yihan Brönn Couture modern suits. He started the show with a gold asymmetric cross over mandarin collar suit that matched Bianca’s look perfectly. His second piano-inspired look paid homage to the music industry. Sne closed off the show with a black and white suit that made him look dapper and eloquent. Yihan wore a one-of-a-kind mauve and gold floral suit whilst Michael glittered in a modern gold suit adorned with three-way metallic sequence. The kykNET Ghoema music awards took place on 17 April 2019. The talented host Willem Botha did Yihan Brönn Couture proud in several modern suits. Willem had tongues wagging in 5 different looks and rocked each look effortlessly. Willem made an impressive entrance in a 3-way, metallic, silver, gold and bronze sequence slim-fitted jacket with matching silver skinny trousers. The look complimented co-presenter Leah’s dress perfectly. The second look was just as impressive. Willem looked on point in a rose gold and gold, metallic brocade, one-button, slim-fit suit. When it was time to honour the legend, Andre Swartz, Willem did not disappoint in a formal silver and black, linen type modern suit with black velvet and sequence shoulder and sleeve detail. Even Willem’s less formal look was on point and added sparkle to the evening’s proceedings. A white short sleeve shirt and black sequence trousers never looked so good! Willem closed the show in a show stopper. His gold and black shaded, scallop collar, modern slim-fit suit was the perfect ending to a glamorous evening.
